Becky Lennerton Caterer and Chef - Black River Food Company
Hello Muskoka! My name is Rebekah (Becky) Lennerton and I am a red sealed Chef and owner of a small local business called Black River Food Co. I’m originally from the east coast and have lived in the Muskoka area for the last 25 years. My culinary training includes schooling through Humber College and I have logged 6,000 hours of training in many areas of the business. I apprenticed at the elite Lake Joseph Club owned and operated by Club Link. Specifically the Wine Bar and Grill followed by an assistant manager position at the private members club the following year. Our guest list included many famous people known to the Muskoka area. I guess I can say my claim to fame is catering Kate Hudson’s 17th birthday party. I also apprenticed under Chef Andy and Mark McKwen of North 44 and Bymark in Toronto. I was part of their mobile catering staff that provided elaborate weddings and dinner parties. Chef Marc McEwen now has a television show on the food network called "Heat”.
